The 8th Annual Harpoon Point to Point Ride will be held on August 15th at Windsor, Vermont.
This event is a collaborative effort by the Vermont Foodbank, the Harpoons Brewery, and the Point Radio Network. This ride has been established to raise awareness and funds for the Vermont Foodbank and its efforts to end hunger in Vermont
Last year the Harpoon Point to Point raised more than $47,000 for the Vermont Foodbank. The 8th Annual Harpoon Point to Point is a day of bicycle ride.

-110 Miles (Williston to Windsor)
-50 Miles (Bethel to Windsor
-25 MIles (Out and bak loop from the Harpoon Brewery in Windsor)

The74th Convention of Amateur Telescope Makers on Breezey Hill in Springfield, Vermont, 2009 Stellafane Convention, will be held Thursday through Sunday August 13-16, 2009.
2009 is the 400th Anniversary of Galileo’s Astronomical use of the Telescope, the 40th Anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landings, and the International Year of Astronomy.

The Vermont Arts Council functions as a community partner and a catalyst for artists and organizations. It was founded in 1964 and since that it has been fostering classical, traditional and emerging forms of artistics expressions.
The State Collection on Tour is in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Art in State Building Program. The VT Arts Council and VT Dept. of Buildings & General Services have created a traveling exhibit featuring approximately 50 of the 1,000 pieces in the Vermont State Collection.
